extended an invitation to Business Owners Union (BOU) in the OIC countries headed by Sheikh Saleh Kamel to be the strategic sponsor for Conference on Investment Opportunities 2012.

Meanwhile, Mr. Abdul-Mohsen Linjawy, Director General of Business Owners Union and Sheikh Ali Al-Badi agreed on starting the establishment of the Council of Omani Business Owners Federation to market the studied Omani projects in the BOU’s members.
Sessions of Sohar Conference on Investment Opportunities focused on six key issues including; “Economic Development Plans”, “the Institutional Investment Framework and Transformation of Al Batinah Region into an Attractive Investment Destination”, “Role of Regional and Local Establishments in Boosting and Promoting Investment”, “Training and Qualifying the National Cadres and the Available Opportunities in Education”, “Investment opportunities in petrochemical and mineral industries”, and “Available investment opportunities in the complimentary industries and supporting services”
Business Owners Union is one of the most important mechanisms of the Islamic Chamber that is aimed at building umbrella for businessmen and private sector in the OIC member countries as well as Muslim minorities and communities to encourage investments, develop intra-trade, coordinate the policies, enhance trade and investment activities in order to employ the youth of the nation and thus reduce unemployment and increase the gross national product of Islamic countries.
With God's grace, a large number of chambers of commerce & industry in the OIC countries signed MoU on activating the BOU’s goals.
