Foras International Company launches Kawader International Co.

By this holy verse, Dr. Hatim Jamil Mokhtar, Chief Executive Officer of Foras International Investment Company began his speech in the launch of Kawader International Co. (Labor Exchange) which has come up, as he said, to meet the kind invitation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, God bless him, for the absorption of Muslim labors in the Gulf States, as one of initiatives of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce & Industry (ICCI) and with great support by the leaders of GCC countries.

  
The initiative of Kawader International Co. (Labor Exchange), he added, was established by H.E Sheikh Saleh Kamel, ICCI’s President to address the press need to preserve Arab-Islamic identity through providing national labors to meet the needs of labor market in the Arab- Gulf region.

Mukhtar outlined the aim of this Company, as it seeks through implementation of deliberate strategies, to increase the number of qualified and skilled labors to get jobs in GCC countries. Thereby, Cadres for Human Development is to be a major milestone in sectors of construction, building and industrial employment as well as a main actor in preserving the Arab-Muslim identity to achieve prosperity amongst the OIC Member States. 

Kawader aims at training workers on the most demanded professions by the labor-imported countries, so that it can increase their skills, professionalism and commitment to be qualified enough in their work. It also endeavors to bring contracts to identify the available opportunities in job market in order that it can play the role of guarantor for obtaining the salary, management of transferring process, providing a lot of additional services in the field of recruiting workers of construction and manufacturing.

Muslim qualified labor constitutes strategic stock of human labor-intensive investment projects that are effective in the economies of GCC countries. So it can be employed in trade and construction sectors.
Gulf government sector can absorb about 32% of the incoming labors, equivalent to 50.000 workers annually in GCC States. 

As the GCC countries are currently witnessing establishment of more than 50 cities and economical and industrial regions, four of them in Saudi Arabia, one million and 600.000 new available job opportunities are expected to be created, representing wide and great vacancies for qualified and skilled Muslim labors to meet these kinds of labor-intensive projects.  


The strategy of Kawader strives for building joint institutional framework between Muslim labor-exporting countries and GCC countries to follow-up the practical translation of the Gulf’s aims through giving priority to Muslim labor in employment and recruitment from the foreign workers, facilitating the procedures of granting entry visa to GCC countries, Searching for job opportunities by providing a clear vision of the job market needs in the Gulf region, developing training programs to go well with the needs of the labor market, creating strategic partnerships with leading institutions in the field of technical and professional training internally and externally, using high-quality training programs, developing deliberate strategies to take up the targeted skilled labor,  establishing a reliable database to ensure the flow of information between relevant authorities in Islamic labor-exporting countries and GCC States on the specializations, professions and the skills required in the labor market, constructing a website and feeding it with the information necessary for providing all data needed for Gulf labor market and employing job-seekers in the Gulf countries.


Foras International Investment Company was established with an initiative of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce & Industry (ICCI) and in partnership with the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) for the sake of exploring the investment opportunities in the scope of the OIC Member States. It works according to a clearly defined strategic plan aimed at the development of targeted sectors in the Islamic world to achieve the aspired development that help the OIC countries reach self-sufficiency and to realize a lot of accomplishments in a number of OIC countries in the field of investment in the mega projects, putting into consideration the diversity of investments in a variety of sectors from agriculture to finance.

Several companies were set up in a number of OIC’s countries to explore the opportunities and start in the required projects. Kawader International Co. (Labor Exchange) is a new Foras’s successful launch.

The Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) is an affiliated organ to the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) and the only representative of the private sector in the Islamic World. It held 11 meetings since 1994 in 11 Islamic States for the sake of enhancing trade exchange volume, fostering the volume of joint investment projects amongst the States of the OIC, strengthening closer collaboration between public and private sectors in the Islamic countries, developing necessary mechanisms for more cooperation through networking, organizing and establishing projects amongst the OIC States.
